Beyond Reasonable Doubt

During this election many people have argued if it matters who Barack Obama has been linked to as being friends with. Does it matter? Is it not more important to talk about what his policies and plans are if he were to become President of the United States? How can we question his Patriotism? I understand the argument on its face that we should  stick to comparing policies of the two candidates but it is also valuable to look at who he associates with when looking at his character and what he truly believes. In the world of politics especially, politicians are careful of who they associate themselves with in public. Politicians tend to associate with like-minded individuals.  Do you think there is reasonable doubt about what he truly believes? Well let’s look at the evidence.

Exhibit 1 Bill Ayers: Bill Ayers was a member of a domestic terrorist group called the Weather Underground and is self-proclaimed Marxists. He has admitted to bombing the Pentagon, U.S. Capital Building a police headquarters in NYC. He has never apologized for his actions, and in fact he said, “I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough.” His charges were dropped because of the improper way evidence was gathered by the FBI, but he readily admits these atrocities against America.

In the mid-1990’s he held a fundraiser at his home for Obama for his State-Senate campaign. He has also served on many boards with Bill Ayers, and is living in the same neighborhood and lecturing at the same college. I am sure they have met many times informally as well.

Exhibit 2 Reverend Jeremiah Wright: Reverend Jeremiah Wright was Barack Obama’s preacher for over twenty years. He married Barack and Michelle Obama; he also baptized their children. It has been well documented the controversial, and many would say racists and Anti-American remarks Wright has made. I find it highly unlikely as Barack Obama claims that he didn’t know that Wright believed this way, especially when Obama calls Wright his spiritual advisor. If he truly did not know after 20 years what Rev. Wright believed, then that in and of itself should be enough to question his ability to lead anything.

Exhibit 3 ACORN: This organization is an ultra-left organization that has come under fire and faced criminal charges in all the swing states for voter registration fraud. Barack has represented them in court, has held the position as leadership trainer, and donated over $800,000 dollars to the organization through his campaign. He clearly knows what this organization stands for and by going to work for them one can easily conclude supports their mission.

Exhibit 4 Rashid Khalidi: Who is this guy? This guy was the former spokesman for the PLO. This organization was the terrorist organization run formerly by the late Yasser Arafat, this group is not only anti-Israel but Anti-West and Anti-American. He is known to have held fundraisers for Obama and is know to be good friends with the Obama’s while Barack and Rashid were professors at Universality of Illinois-Chicago. In fact the L.A. Times has a video of Obama toasting Khalidi at a party and at that party many Anti-Israel and Anti-West remarks were made. The L.A. Times refuses to release the tape, I wonder why?

Many will say so what, this means nothing, I say really, do you hang out with people you disagree with on a regular basis? Do you consider them to be your spiritual advisors? Would you as a politician hold fundraisers in homes of people that you do not share any political beliefs with? I will tell you the answer even if you can’t admit it; the answer is NO!

In his book Dreams From my Father he says the following “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully,” “The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.” Don’t lie to yourself and say just because he hung out with those people it doesn’t mean that he believes it. If he doesn’t but he chose to constantly surrond himself with people that he doesn’t share the same political veiws just because he doesn’t want to be viewed as a sell out, you have to wonder what kind of back bone does he have? For those of you that are going to bring up the Keating 5 thing with McCain, he was cleared of all charges by a Democrat controlled Congress and we have not heard of one negative association since, even by the left wing Obama crazed media

This topic of who he associated with is fair game and the American people need to think long and hard about it.This is not fear mongering or smear tactics, these associations are undisputable facts, he knows these people and organizations. People say well that’s not fair because that is guilt by association. I say  these associations go right to the core of what he beilievs and what direction  he will lead this country in. Is Obama a Socialist, I don’t know? Is Obama a Markist, I don’t know?If this was just one association we were talking about I would agree that this is a non-issue, but I have named at least four associations not couting Tony Rezko, and lets not forget his comments to Joe the Plummer about “spreading the wealth” .

I do know if this was a civil trial  the proponderence of evidence is there. If this was a criminal trial this would qualify as beyond reasonable doubt. Is the jury of the American electorit going to do like the jurors did the O.J. trial and turn a blind eye and find Obama not guilty? I guess we will find out November 4,2008

Now Democrats want to control your Retirement!

This headline should scare the hell out of everyone: House Democrats Contemplate Abolishing 401(k) Tax Breaks. Talk about a knee jerk reaction to the markets going south. Are we that dumb when we invest that we don’t realize there is a chance we may lose money in the markets? Now because most of us have lost money, the Democrats are taking this chance to nationalize our Retirement. I hope everyone realizes they are doing this already; it’s called Social Security. We all know how wonderful of a job the government has done with that program. For all the money I have paid into it, I will likely never see a dime of it. And now on top of that the Democrats will force me to pay an additional 5% of my paycheck to a nationalized 401K, with no matching like many companies offer. I guess they will promise this time not to dip their greedy hands into it like they did Social Security. Do you really think you can trust them?

This is another example again of the stark contrast between conservatives that believe that people should have personal freedom and use their personal judgment when it comes to their lives, and liberal Democrats who think that they and the government know how best to take care of you and your situation. They are going to rob us of our freedoms one by one, and they are trying to steal this one by scaring us because of how the market has been.

Here are some questions we should be asking. Who is going to pay for this new federal program?  Why should we trust the government to run this program when they have destroyed Social Security? What about personal choice in what I want to invest in for my retirement? What happens if I die and I have still money left in this new government retirement program? Is the government going to keep it like they do with the money you pay into Social Security?

This proposal is nothing more than another avenue down the road of socialism. If the comments by Obama saying he wants to spread the wealth didn’t bother you, this proposal should scare you no matter what political party you are for. We need John McCain as President if anything as a buffer for the American people to keep the ultra-liberals in the House and Senate in check, just like Clinton did when the Republicans controlled Congress after 1994.

This program has potential to ruin the lives of millions of Americans at a time in their lives when they should be relaxing. I am not saying that 401K’s are a sure bet, but I trust private retirement accounts that I control over the government running the program every single time.

Who would you hire?

Let’s imagine that you sat on a board of a publicly traded company. You have four candidates that have sent you a resume. My question is who would you hire to run this company?

Candidate A: This person was the lead attorney for several years at your subsidiary. After that this person was elected CEO of your subsidiary for 11 years.  He has many years of experience as an executive.

Candidate B: This person was executive for a small company for four years. Then this person was elected to become CEO at one of your subsidiaries for 2 years and currently still holds this position and is considered to be doing a great job. People do question if this person is ready to become CEO.

Candidate C: Has had no executive experience, but has spent the better part of 30 years serving in upper level management. He is widely considered by people inside the organization and rival companies to have what it takes to run your company.

Candidate D: Has had two years working in lower management, two years working in upper management. No executive experience but is a great public speaker. Many people within his organization question his ability to lead.  Prominent figures within his own organization have said things like, this job doesn’t lend itself to on the job training which he will need. They have also said he will bring crisis to the company and people won’t be happy how he handles it.

So who would you hire to run your company? If you say Candidate D, Barack Obama, you’re lying to yourself. Your shareholders would throw you out the door if you brought in someone with such little experience. P&G stock would take a nosedive if they were to do something like that. Candidate B, Sarah Palin (but she isn’t running for President), I don’t think she is the answer, but wouldn’t you give strong consideration to Candidates A and C? Well, Candidate A, Bill Clinton, isn’t available but his wife is. But Democrats somehow managed to screw her out of her chance to be the candidate; you know what they say, what goes around comes around. Candidate C, John McCain, is available and is ready to handle the job from day 1. Even his rivals including Joe Biden, who said he would be honored to be his running mate agrees that McCain is ready.

Why should the American people elect a man who wouldn’t even get an interview for CEO of a company? I know all of us are concerned with the economy; it is effecting us all in some way. We do though have to consider who can handle the ENTIRE JOB from day one. We need a President that can handle and understands, the economy, national security, foreign relations, the military, education. We need more than someone who knows how to talk about it, we need someone who has experience with the issues and has handled the issues. We need someone who we don’t have to wonder if they are going to have the right response to a national crisis. The person we need to elect from the choices we have is John McCain.

The New American Dream

Is it me, or are we losing our country to a group of people that have no sense of what it takes to make this great nation work? It should be impossible that a presidential candidate can say to a hard working American business owner that he “wants to spread the wealth so the people behind you don’t get left behind” and that it gets played again on national television, even by the mainstream media and still Obama is leading in the polls. Granted McCain has made Kerry’s campaign in 2004 look like a well-oiled machine, but that’s for another blog.

What are the American people thinking? Have we lost that much pride in ourselves that we believe that we should take money from hard working American’s and give it to people that haven’t earned it. Don’t tell me that the rich can afford it, because that is a BS excuse. The fact is that 80% of people that are millionaires are self-made millionaires. They work hard for their money, working long hours, and being frugal. Maybe if some of us had been a little more frugal we wouldn’t have this collapse in the housing market that we are seeing today. Seriously, you make $40,000 a year and you think you can afford a $200,000 house? If you believed that then you deserve the mess you’re in.

Back to my point, the point is we have no right to take money from those that have earned it and give it to those that don’t have as much. We already have something like that and it’s called welfare. Do those people really need more of our money to waste? I know I am tired of paying for people to get their vouchers for childcare, and food. Granted some people truly need the help and I am all for that, but many flat out abuse the system. Politicians keep on saying we are going to help the “middle class”, so my question to them is when the hell I am going to get my childcare vouchers. The answer is never because I actually believe in the crazy old “American Dream” when you should go to work and get what you earn so therefore I make too much money according to the government. Plus I wouldn’t take the vouchers anyway; I have more pride than that, I refuse to let the government take care of my family.

Well now we have a choice this election. Now we can vote for Barrack Obama and vote for a man that wants to spread the wealth. Someone call the U.S.S.R and see how well that worked out for them, and while you’re at it give England and Canada a buzz about their Universal Health Care Programs to see how that’s going. Obama is selling this New American Dream, that government should solve your problems and hard working people that have wealth should pay for it, and for some reason the American people are buying it. Are we really that lazy in America that we aren’t willing to earn it ourselves? I am not saying that McCain is the answer, but I can tell you Socialism isn’t. McCain is a far better choice than Obama. As Earl Pitts would say “WAKE UP AMERICA”, if World War II veterans were known as the greatest generation, I am afraid we are currently staring at the worst generation if we are willing to rely on the government to take care of us all.
